Dr. Johnson was born and raised in Spokane and graduated from Ferris High School. She attended the University of Puget Sound, where she played volleyball and majored in Chemistry. After graduating from the University of Washington School of Dentistry, Dr. Johnson continued her education at the University of Michigan with a one-year residency in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program. She then worked in a dental practice in Michigan for two years before returning to the Northwest to work alongside her father at Petersen Family Dentistry. In 2017, she took over the family practice and changed the office name to Johnson Dental.
In her free time, Dr. Johnson enjoys golfing, cooking, spending time at Lake Coeur d’Alene, and skiing. Her husband, Dr. Josh Johnson, is an orthodontist in Spokane and they are proud parents of two active boys.
At Johnson Dental, we are committed to providing excellent dental care for the entire family in a warm and welcoming environment. We believe that everyone is entitled to a beautiful smile that lasts a lifetime.
In 2017, after working side-by-side with her father at Petersen Family Dentistry for twelve years, Dr. Lissa Johnson became the owner and founder of Johnson Dental. She was honored to continue the tradition of excellence in dentistry that her father had established.
